Weather – from the extreme to the extraordinary -- it is always happening. Thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, heatwaves. Sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy.
The Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science is pleased to announce a photography contest for weather. Images that capture weather processes and their impacts on society.
The contest is open to amateur photographers who earn no more than 20 percent of their income from photography. Photographs are judged in two categories: UM Student and non-student. Images can be wide, close-up, panoramic, etc.
The winning images will be announced in the Fall of 2022 along with our Underwater category and are displayed in a traveling exhibit hosted by the Frost Museum of Science. For information contact Diana Udel at (305) 421-4704 or dudel@earth.miami.edu.
