Summer 2026 in review
A lifetime achievement award in aquaculture, a national award for hurricane research, a seat on the United Nations’ World Ocean Assessment expert pool, the University’s nominee for the Frontiers Planet Prize, a first-place poster prize for a doctoral student in cloud physics, three papers in Communications Earth & Environment, Climatic Change and WIREs Climate Change; and six new NSF awards totaling $9.10M, among them a five-year RAPID-MOCHA renewal and a CAREER award for hurricane air–sea physics.
