The Rosenstiel School’s Marine Operations is responsible for the following activities on the Rosenstiel School campus:
- The operation, maintenance and support of Research Vessel F.G. WALTON SMITH, an advanced research catamaran designed for shallow water, tropical oceanography;
- The Marine Technical Support Group which provides marine technical support for R/V F.G. WALTON SMITH, the Rosenstiel School small boats, and other federal, commercial, institution and privately owned research vessels.
